Germany v Spain Live | Euro 2008 Final

Its Germany versus Spain in the final of what has been a magnificent Euro 2008 on Sunday at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna.

Germany displayed superior grit and strength against Turkey in the semifinals even after Semih Senturk had effectively promised extra time with his 86th minute equalizer. This was after Bastian Schweinsteiger’s goal equalized for Germany following Ugur Boral’s goal that gave Turkey the lead. Miroslav Klose put Germany in the lead in the 79th minute, but Semih equalized.

In the last minute, Philip Lahm delivered a killer blow to send Germany to the finals of a major tournament for a record sixth time.

Spain beat Russia in what was a one-sided game. Goals from Xavi Hernández, Daniel Güiza and David Silva made it a cakewalk for Spain. However they will be without leading scorer David Villa who strained a muscle in the semi-final.
