Croatia take on Turkey in the second Euro 2008 quarterfinal having finished on top of Group B ahead of Germany.
Croatia managed to beat Poland 1-0 in their final group game although coach Slaven Bilic had fielded many reserve players. Ivan Klasnic came back from a kidney transplant to score the winner for the Croatians.
Turkey entered the quarterfinals after beating the Czech Republic 3-2. Goals from Jan Koller and Jaroslav Plasil had given the Czechs a 2-0 lead, but a brace from Nihat Kahveci enabled Turkey to qualify as runners up of Group A.
Turkey coach Fatih Terim has multiple injury worries ahead of the quarterfinal with Emre Gungor and Tumer Metin battling injuries, while goalkeeper Volkan Demirel misses out with suspension after collecting a red card in the final stages of the game against the Czech Republic.
